About Us

Entomonutris is a pioneering Moroccan biotechnology Startup whose goal is to produce and market a new source of protein (insect meal) and biofertilizers from insect breeding (black soldier fly), for animal feed. , agriculture and aquaculture. We are also exploring the extraction of chitin from the cuticle of our insects and we are also developing technology to deliver ready-to-use BSF eggs or hatchlings to breeding facilities in Morocco and around the world.

The Industry

The world will be home to 9 billion human beings by 2050. The current food production will have to increase significantly to be able to meet the food needs of the world population which is experiencing continuous growth and with the quality of the soil which will only deteriorate further.

In addition, over the years, productive agricultural land becomes scarcer and increasing the areas dedicated to agriculture is neither a viable nor a sustainable option.

The oceans are suffering from overfishing and climate change and the resulting water scarcity could have serious consequences for food production. To meet today’s food and nutrition challenges – nearly a billion people are chronically hungry around the world. It has become necessary to re-evaluate what we consume and how we produce it. Inefficient production processes must be rectified, and food waste reduced.

Entomonutris aims to adopt a circular economy by upgrading organic waste and transforming it into high-quality bio-fertilizers as well as producing new sources of protein for animal feed and aquaculture.
